Prior to forming her own firm, Jennifer Pritz practiced law at both large and medium-sized litigation firms in downtown Chicago. She has written numerous appeals in both Federal and State cases and has had oral arguments before the Illinois First District Appellate Court. Attorney Pritz has served as lead counsel in dozens of cases in both Federal and State Court.
I practice law with these concepts in mind:
C: Communication. For some, a divorce is their first introduction to the courts, judges, motions, etc. The court system and the legal process can seem overwhelming. I will help you understand how the court functions, what the Judges are looking for and what they want to hear. You need to know what the status of your case is now and where it is going so that you can continue to address all of the issues in your life.
E: Education. I will keep you well-informed not only about the litigation process, but also about the law itself. You should know your options. You know your own issues and I can give you the legal advice you need to understand your options. Money management, living arrangements, how to help your children, ... these are some of the questions that need answers now. Understanding that a client needs to be educated so that they can manage their life and their family is part of my counsel.
O: Organization. Lawyers must be organized. They manage case loads filled with deadlines, court dates, legal writing and legal research. I understand that you need to stay informed and to have your case handled right. Organization is key to managing your case professionally.
I am committed to taking the necessary time to keep my clients informed at every stage, from their first consultation to the resolution of their case. I believe that by emphasizing responsive and thorough communication, I help educate my clients about the legal process. In turn, this empowers them to make difficult decisions with confidence.
